PCOS, Inflammation and Insulin resistance are all things that are at the root of many symptoms that women experience. • There is recent evidence that suggests that insulin resistance is a result of inflammation in your body and can actually cause PCOS instead of PCOS causing inflammation. • Women with PCOS have plenty of insulin in their bodies, they just can’t use it. • LEAN PCOS(I have this) is different in this sense. Your ovaries actually do NOT become insulin resistant. Almost all other tissues/organs are unresponsive to insulin except the ovaries. This causes the ovaries to be overwhelmed by insulin and stimulates them to secrete androgens like testosterone. Women with lean PCOS do not struggle with the weight gain side of PCOS. This does not mean they are not experiencing metabolic issues that just are not as obvious. Often doctors dismiss women with PCOS because they aren’t overweight even thought they are experiencing issues. • Want to understand LEAN PCOS more? Go to this link:

Things to do to help with LEAN PCOS:
⚡️Resistance Training -
Improves insulin delivery to muscle tissue
⚡️Base meals around protein source
⚡️Stress Reduction (meditation, prayer, sleep, yoga)
⚡️Supplement(Vitex, Dim, vitamin d, saw palmetto, turmeric-lowers inflammation, licorice, white peony)
⚡️Drink spearmint tea daily
•
LEAN PCOS is a result of your cells being unresponsive to the large amounts of insulin you are producing leaving it to the ovaries to deal with.
